STORM BOATS / RESTORATION
This boat went aground in a hurricane and split the bow about 3'. Unfortunately the boat was in the water for several days and this caused even more damage to the balsa core and some other wood. In the end there was a nice little path of destruction we made with the saw. After the repairs you couldnt tell the boat had been worked on either inside our out and I would have felt fine loading up with the wife and kids and crossing over to Chicago. When I fix a boat that is broke like this I don't take any chances ever. We've seen several boats that almost sank due to poor repairs and in over 25 years I've never had a bottom patch fail.
