STORM BOATS / RESTORATION
It's been quite a few years and several jobs done to this boat and now we finally get to do one that sets it all off. The gel on this boat had just about every reason there is to keep it from coming back. Several spots were showing thin and someone had applied one of those fantastic easy fixes that take forever to undo. We were a while at it but in the end the hullsides came back to a nice deep shine and even the blue looked great. The bottom was stripped and fared and then epoxied and bottom painted. We kept all the coatings ultra smooth though, so in the end the boat is probably faster than it was before. A typical bottom paint job will often add drag and sometimes cost as much as 10% off a boats top speed.
